Choose Your Route

NW / Gaylord / Lovells

 

​Connects Lewiston west to Gaylord and Lovells with access to larger trail systems. 

 

Route Highlights

  • Heading north on Trail 450 at Meridian Line will take you up to Vienna

  • The west side has northern and southern connectors for the Gaylord Trails

  • Southwest section meets the connector for our SW / Mio (or as some of us know it, the ROLL trail) near Jack Pine Plains Rd

  • Going to the end of the NW run takes you into Lovells

Approximate Length: 22 miles

(CR-489 & CR-612 to F-97)

NE / Avery Hills

 

A short loop in the Timbertown system, ideal for quick rides and connections to the Atlanta area.

 

Route Highlights

  • Great for a little ride if time is tight

  • Is reached from downtown by riding east down the north side of CR 612 and then heading north on CR-489

  • Can connect to the SE section or continued on for a loop

  • Far north-east corner connects to the Atlanta area

(start / stop CR-489 & CR-612)

SW / Red Oaks, Lewiston, Lovells Trail

 

A loop for a longer ride with multiple options for connecting to other systems. 

 

Route Highlights

  • Following Trail 429 through town over to Old 612 and into the woods

  • At Farrington Rd either go straight or make a right turn. Either way sends you into this loop

  • The southwest corner of this loop meets up with the connector towards Luzerne

  • The southeast corner of the loop either brings you back to the start of the loop or you can utilize the connector to the SE section

Approximate Length: 49 miles

(start / stop CR-489 & CR-612)

SE / Muskrat Lake

 

​A route for a decent length ride and connects directly to the northeast-Avery Hills loop and the SW Mio loop. 

 

Route Highlights

  • Runs through Muskrat Lake State Park.  

  • Can access from the parking lot at CR-489 & Miller Rd

  • Can split off from the Avery loop and head south

Mileage is approximate and may vary as trail routes change. Distances are measured from the intersection of CR-489 & CR-612. Refer to the trail map for exact access points and intersections.

Most trails in the Timbertown system are designated for snowmobile use, with limited ORV sections. Grooming is permitted only during the DNR snowmobile season (December 1 – March 31)
